Engineers’ Week Awards
The ASCE Huntsville Branch participated in the 2024 Huntsville Engineers’ Week Awards Banquet. Branch President, Shelby Musgrove, presented awards to the three winners, shown below. Charles Oligee

Charles began his career with LAW Engineering after graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1993. He later helped start an office for QORE in Lexington, Kentucky before transferring to Huntsville in 2003. He was the Huntsville Branch Manager and Alabama Operations Manager for QORE, who was later acquired by S&ME, Inc. for 13 years. After serving as the Alabama Operations Manager, he was the southeast regional manager with S&ME for 7 years before joining TTL in 2023.
Charles is passionate about people and considers the opportunity to mentor staff and actively participate in their career growth one his greatest and most rewarding responsibilities. He believes in building professional relationships based on trust and respect. He has served on the Board of ACEC Alabama for 6 years, initially as a regional Vice President and later as Secretary/Treasurer. He is currently serving as President Elect. Charles also volunteered on the Resource Advisory Council for the Land Trust of North Alabama.
Charles and his wife Lanise have two sons. His oldest son Cade is also a Civil Engineer and Captain with the 5th Special Forces Group, based at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. His youngest son Zane is completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University. Outside of work, he and his family enjoy raising cattle on a small farm in Limestone County.
